What is it all about then, folks – the white kitten vs the black kitten?

“One thing was certain, that the WHITE kitten had had nothing to do with it: – it was the black kitten’s fault entirely. For the white kitten had been having its face washed by the old cat for the last quarter of an hour (and bearing it pretty well, considering); so you see that it COULDN’T have had any hand in the mischief.” (Through the Looking Glass, Lewis Carroll, p1.)

“For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then we will see face to face.”

It is tough making sense of information about food and nutrition. Nearly every week there is a different report about what we should or should not.

So what can some one of average intelligence do?  Unfortunately, unlike Gillian McKeith I have not got time to do a nutrition PhD correspondance course. I can’t see the Institute for Optimum Nutriton awarding me a Diploma in Nutrition as they did to their founder Mr Patrick Holford.  So no instant elevation to nutritional guru status.

I suppose I’ll just have to do lots of research and reading. Possibly the evidence on how to be healthy is out there if we make the effort to find it?

Still, I do have a guilty confession to make at the outset I rather like food. Much tastier than fish oil and vitamin pills
